Router lights guide: index of covered devices

An index for the devices covered by sources on this site. It is not a complete guide for all brands, and uncovered devices have no meaning here.

By the Router Blinking editorial team · Last updated 2026-11-01 · How we check facts

Short answer

This is an index of the router and modem light guides on this site. It covers Spectrum, Cox, Verizon, AT&T, NETGEAR and Xfinity devices that the sources check, and it lists the devices the sources do not cover, so use each provider's own table for those.

Not all brands

This index is not a complete guide for all brands. Do not apply one device's table to a device that is not listed.

#1 What This State Means

This guide is an index, not a complete reference for every router. The sources on this site cover a specific set of devices, and it is accurate only for those. The claim in the earlier title, that this is the complete guide for all brands, is not supported, so this page lists what is covered and what is not.

Covered, with a source for each: Spectrum’s WiFi 6 router (the SAX1V1 family, from Spectrum’s manual), Spectrum’s modems and gateways (from Spectrum’s public modem-light page), the Cox XER10 Panoramic WiFi router, the Cox CGM4141 and the Cox CGM4331 (from Cox’s own pages), the Verizon CR1000A (from Verizon’s user guide and LED chart), the Verizon Fios ONT (from Verizon’s support page, power light only), the AT&T BGW210, BGW320 and BGW620 (from AT&T’s guides, with the limits each page states), NETGEAR’s standard routers and Orbi (from NETGEAR’s LED articles), and Xfinity’s gateways (from Xfinity’s official table).

Not covered by a source here: the Verizon Fios G3100 and CR1000B, the Cox CGM4140COM and TG1682G, the Verizon Internet Gateway for 5G Home (which has its own chart, but a different device), and any brand not named above. For those, use the provider’s own light table.

#3 Steps to use this guide

  1. Read the label on your device. Find the brand and model.
  2. Check the index. If the device is in the table, open its guide.
  3. If it is not in the table, do not use another brand’s guide. The sources do not cover it, so use the provider’s own light table.
  4. Read the light against the device’s guide. Match the colour, the pattern and the speed.
  5. Contact the provider if the light is not in the device’s table. Give the model, the light and what you have already checked.

#4 What If Scenarios

Q: My router is not in this index. Can I still use this site? The index covers the devices the sources check. For a device that is not listed, use its provider’s light table or contact the provider.

Q: Why are some Verizon and Cox models missing? The sources on this site do not cover the Verizon G3100 and CR1000B, or the Cox CGM4140COM and TG1682G. Rather than apply another model’s table, the site leaves them out.

Q: Is this the complete guide for all brands? No. The earlier title claimed that, but the sources do not support it. This page is an index of the covered devices.

Q: Which guide should I read first? Read the device’s own guide from the index. Use the general pages only for reference.

Q: Does this guide say what every light means? Only for the covered devices, and each device guide gives its own meanings and the limits its source states.

Q: Why are NETGEAR’s standard routers and the Orbi listed separately? Because NETGEAR publishes two articles. Its general router article covers the Power, Internet, WiFi and WPS lights on standard routers, and its Orbi article covers the Orbi ring and power lights. The two use different states, so each has its own guide.

Q: How current are the sources behind this index? Each source record carries a check date of 2026-10-31 and a review state of unreviewed. The index is only as current as those records, so confirm a device’s light table with the provider before you rely on it for a decision.

For the general colour guide, read what router light colours mean. For the “why is my router blinking” guide, read why is my router blinking. For the restart and reset difference, read restart or factory reset.
